General information only
The content of this site is patient education. It describes what makes a face uneven, how the causes are told apart, and what correction costs in time, recovery and risk. It is not a diagnosis, it is not a treatment recommendation for any individual, and it does not create a doctor-patient relationship.
No substitute for examination
Whether your own asymmetry is a variation or a finding, and whether its cause is bone, muscle, fat or dental, depends on findings that can only be established by examining you: how the face behaves at rest and in movement, what the measurements show, how the bite closes, and what any imaging demonstrates. Reading this site cannot substitute for that, and a plan made from a website alone is a plan made without information.
Results vary and are not guaranteed
Individual results differ, healing takes months, and no clinician and no website can guarantee an outcome. Any statement that appears to promise one should be treated with suspicion wherever you encounter it. The face continues to change after any treatment, and further treatment may be needed later.
If something is wrong after treatment
If you have had treatment to the face and develop rapidly increasing swelling, a tense painful area, spreading redness or fever, bleeding that does not stop, new numbness or weakness, a change in your bite, or difficulty breathing or swallowing, contact the treating team or seek emergency care immediately rather than waiting for a routine appointment.
